4th of July

We chose to spend this independence day doing fun things as a family.
We started the morning having breakfast with our new neighbors.
We had water balloon fun a lot of good food and conversation.

Later we went up the canyon and went geocaching.
This is where you get on the internet (www.geocaching.com) and download
information on a cache in our area.

A cache is kindof like a treasure hunt. People use a GPS system to mark the coordinates of where they hide little treasures.
You then leave something in the same spot you found the cache for others to find. They give you clues or puzzles that help you find the cache.
You download them off the internet and then take your GPS systemto go out and find them. They have them for all over the US. Although we only found one cache,
we had a great time being up in the mountains together!!

That night we came back to our home and had a great BBQ with ribs, ckn, and lots of other fun things to eat.
After dinnerthe kids challenged the old men to a game of basketball.

We ended the night with some great fireworks in the street and rootbeer floats. We had a great time!!
